Biography

E. Terrell Washington, a native of New Yorker, is the Youth Pastor at Anointed Temple of Praise (ATOP) in Memphis, TN.  He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith and the Master of Science degree in College Student Personnel from Arkansas Tech University. 

 

This summer Terrell will begin a new journey.  He will start coursework towards the Doctor of Education degree in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership. His studies will concentrate on Instructional Design and Technology at the University of Memphis. Terrell areas of interest are online learning; online assessments; instructional technology use in higher education and non-traditional K-12 settings; and, faculty development.

 

He also serves as the Program Manager for the NexLevel Youth Empowerment Zone, ATOP’s youth development organization, which is committed to providing academic and social services to students and their families.  Prior to assuming his current position, Terrell worked in various roles at a local community college.

 

Terrell lives in Cordova with his wife Star, an English Teacher at Highland Oaks Middle School. In his spare time, Terrell enjoys hanging out in Shelby Farms, checking out local independent restaurants, and going to the movies.
